Mr Hassan Musa Usman| CEO Aso Savings and Loans Plc

A Chartered Accountant, Mr Hassan possesses a highly relevant, award-winning career spanning over eighteen years in Finance and Investment Advisory and Privatisation Services, covering various sectors and global regions. He brings a deep knowledge in creating various financing solutions to broaden ASO's offering.

Prior to becoming CEO of ASO, Hassan served as Executive Director (Investments) at Abuja Investment and Property Development Company Ltd., the Federal Capital Territory's premier development agency.

He has also headed key units of the Bureau of Public Enterprises, including Petrochemicals and Gas, Transport Sector Reform and Telecommunications. At Citibank Nigeria, where he worked for 7 years, until 2000, Hassan headed the Structured and Cross-border Finance Team within its Corporate Finance Group. During this time he helped to arrange over 500 million US Dollars worth of transactions and arranged millions more in developmental loans from multilateral institutions. This followed stints managing Capital Markets and Corporate Banking relationships.

Prior to Citibank, he worked for 3 years within the Financial Markets Division of Arthur Andersen S.C. London, and before then, as Research Assistant in the International Economic and Monetary Relations department of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Lagos. He has served on the boards of major corporations, including NITEL.

Hassan graduated with a BA, in Economics (2:1) from the University of Sussex, and an M.Phil in Development Economics from Darwin College, University of Cambridge. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is also a Registered US National Association of Securities Dealers Series 7 Investment Banking Representative.

He held various positions with the bank including Branch Manager, Victoria Island, Branch Manager, Ikeja, Chief Financial Officer, Group Head, Strategy and Brand development, and Group Head, FCY Treasury, before his appointment as the pioneer Chief Executive Officer of Guardian Express Mortgage Limited in April 2004. He was appointed Deputy Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer of Spring Mortgage Limited in September 2006, consequent upon the merger of banks that birthed Spring Bank Plc.

Mr Hakeem Ogunniran | Managing Director UPDC PLC

Mr. Hakeem Bamidele Ogunniran has been Managing Director of UACN Property Development Company Plc since January 13, 2010. and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Ogunniran served as Divisional Managing Director of MDS Logistics, a Division of UAC of Nigeria Plc since 2000.

He served as Manager, Legal Services of UACN Plc since 1995. From 1998 to March 2000, he served as Western Area Manager, Marketing Manager, GBO/MDS Division of UACN and Acting Managing Director of UPDC at various times. He serves as a Director of UACN Property Development Company Plc.

Mr. Ogunniran attended various training programmes including the General Management Programme of Ashridge Management College, U.K (2000) and the Strategic Leadership Programme of Cranfield University, UK. He served as President and Chairman of Council of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria. He holds LL.B, Masters of Law (LL.M) and MBA degrees from the University of Lagos, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985.

Ogunniran leads a UPDC that is regarded as a leading light in property development in Nigeria and the company seems to have achieved the most under Ogunniran. An Industrial Engineering Graduate with a Masters degree in Engineering Management and a graduate certificate in Management, Femi Akintunde is an accomplished engineer and business management professional with strong entrepreneurial drive. He belongs to a number of professional organisations including: Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Institute of Personnel Management (IPM), Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) and International Facility Management Association (IFMA).

 

Femi started his career in 1988 with Nestle Food Nigeria Plc as an Industrial Engineer and rose to the position of Head, Corporate Technical Planning, a position he occupied between 1991 and 1993 before proceeding to Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC).

 

During his 12 years stint in SPDC, he occupied senior and management positions in the following key areas; Human Resources, Major oil & Gas projects, Engineering, Services and Facilities and Assets Management. Following his tenure in SPDC and SNEPCO, Femi served as Deputy General Manager, Corporate Services, United Bank for Africa (UBA), where he was responsible for delivering corporate services to the entire UBA Group of Companies in Nigeria and overseas covering; Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, Global Markets etc.
